Forest Strategy Group Scheme has the following certified timber products for sale now or by arrangement.

Forest Strategy Group Scheme and the Group Members hold the chain of custody certificate GMP-COC-108771 for the purpose of making FSC® certified timber sales. Group Member, Timberzoo is a recycled timber warehouse specialising in the supply of recycled Australian Native Hardwoods. Located near Geelong, the retail side of the business is a drive-thru Woodshed with both recycled and kiln-dried hardwoods for sale to both the trade and the general public. Timberzoo specialises in the supply of a unique range of lining and cladding boards, floorboards, edge-laminated benchtops, decking, brushed timber and dressed posts and beams. In front of the Woodshed is a storage yard for a range of recycled Bridge and Wharf timbers, sawn posts and beams, fronting the main Portarlington Road - while to the rear of the Woodshed is the Landscape Department - with sleeper lengths and weathered timber sections to suit a coastal or bush garden. Their products are available for inspection in person or online.

Dressed Furniture Timber

In the Woodshed at Timberzoo we stock a wide range of seasoned furniture and joinery timbers. Recycled timber boards have been planed in our own dry mill with unique signature marks of age on every piece - there’s a board to suit every purpose. Our range of dressed timber are perfect for creating beautiful tables, bookcases and shelving. Varieties include a range of north coast timbers such as Spotted Gum, Blackbutt, Ironbark, Red Gum, Blackwood and American White Oak. Timberzoo offers a vast range of recycled Messmate products, including many different sizes of dressed furniture board as well as 50mm round battens and 38mm x 28mm battens. Our recycled Messmate products are both eco-friendly and durable, making them an ideal choice for your next project.

Recycled Timber Benchtops, Tabletops & Panels


Our timber panels are crafted from recycled timber right here at our mill, and are perfect for: Benchtops and Desks; Tabletops and Shelves; Stair Treads and Mantels. We handle the hard work for you! After milling, the timber is sent for laminating and returns ready to use. All that’s left is a light sand and an oil finish, and your project is ready for use.

Recycled Timber Flooring

Timberzoo mills high-quality floorboards and lining boards from salvaged hardwood, primarily roof rafters. These timbers originate from structural sources and were not originally graded for appearance. However, when re-milled at Timberzoo, boards are carefully selected to showcase a beautiful tonal range of pale to mid-browns.

Recycled Posts and Beams

Our recycled beams and posts are salvaged from major wharf, jetty and bridge replacement projects across Victoria and New South Wales - including Port Welshpool Jetty, Portarlington Jetty, Central Pier & North Wharf (Docklands), the Barwon Bridge (2011), and numerous regional bridges throughout Gippsland and outback NSW. These timbers are known for their exceptional strength and unmistakable character. Expect deep carbon staining, bolt holes, rust marks, nail features and the occasional hint of teredo worm - all evidence of their former life in marine and structural environments. Many pieces still retain a strong structural index, making them ideal for: Feature posts; Pergolas & outdoor structures; Lightly loaded beams in residential & hospitality settings; Architectural statement pieces.


Landscaping Timbers

Timberzoo offers a wide selection of recycled structural bridge and wharf timbers with a low structural index or shorter statures, making them perfect for landscaping applications. These timbers, often referred to as “sleepers”, find themselves in our Landscape Department and are ideal for: Retaining walls; Driveways; Palisades; Garden bench seats; Totems and bollards. In addition to recycled sleepers, we stock: Regular garden sleepers and old railway sleepers (when available); Salvaged rounds - durable logs suitable for: Playgrounds and landscape features; Log steppers and stump seats; Farm gate posts and garden edging. For larger-scale landscaping and construction, we also supply: Bush poles for shed construction and seating; Timbers sourced from Sugar Gum farm forestry, wharf piling, bridge piling, and girders. For those looking to add a decorative element to a coastal or bush garden, Timberzoo also stocks pile points, pile ends, junctions, stumps, and pier tops. These timbers showcase natural tidal weathering and marine roundbacks, providing a distinctive and rustic aesthetic.

Timber Decking & Screening



A well-designed timber deck can transform outdoor spaces, but it’s essential to choose the right materials and installation methods to ensure durability. Decking timber is exposed to harsh weather conditions, including direct sun, rain, and humidity, making material selection, set-out, fixing, and treatment more critical than in other timber applications. Timberzoo stocks high-quality Durability Class 1 (DC1) and Durability Class 2 (DC2) hardwoods, ensuring longevity and performance for various decking environments.

Interior Timber Lining Board



At Timberzoo, we offer a range of internal lining boards re-milled from recycled timber. Our selection includes both classic and contemporary styles, making them suitable for homes, commercial spaces, and hospitality fit-outs. We provide a variety of finishes to suit different interior aesthetics: Recycled Messmate Shadowline & T&G Boards - Clean, modern, and classic styles; Sawtooth, Wire brush & Chalk face Boards - Rustic and textured options for a unique, aged look. These boards are widely used in feature walls, ceilings, fireplace nooks, lofts, storage rooms, cellars, studios, and more.
